CSAI Proposal for Collaboration on Cybersecurity Skilling & Training Programs

1. Introduction
The Cyber Security Association of India (CSAI) is dedicated to strengthening the National Cybersecurity ecosystem through capacity building, skills development, awareness, and industry–academia collaboration. With the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure and the increasing sophistication of Cyber threats, there is a critical need for highly skilled Cybersecurity professionals across Government, Corporate, and Academic sectors.
CSAI is engaged in upskilling and skilling in Cyber security through Educational Institutes. CSAI is also conducting and teaching the Indias’s first four years B.Tech in Cyber Security at Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun.
However, the demand is much more throughout India.
To address this growing demand, CSAI proposes a strategic collaboration with leading cybersecurity companies to design, develop, and deliver short-term, industry-oriented cybersecurity training programs that can be offered through Indian universities and higher-education institutions.
1. PROPOSAL:
CSAI invites Cybersecurity companies to partner with us in building a secure digital India by empowering the next generation of Cybersecurity professionals. This collaboration will play a crucial role in bridging the skill gap, enhancing national cyber readiness, and creating world-class cybersecurity talent.
CSAI proposes to collaborate with Cyber Companie, Cyber skilling bodies, develop common curriculum, course contents for short term duration of 20-4-60-100 hours and also long term for one year/two years. Get it approved by about 10-20 Universities in India as a certificate/diploma/degree courses. And then Cyber companies/bodies will start teaching in association with CSAI. The same would be managed jointly by Cyber Company and CSAI. Exams would be taken by Universities and certificate/diploma/degree issued jointly with CSAI and Cyber Companies. A proper financial sharing arrangement would be worked out between University/Cyber Company/CSAI. Teaching would be on line/physical/hybrid.
2. Objective of the Collaboration
The aim of this partnership is to:
1. Proper utilisation of expertise available with Cyber Companies/CSAI for course curriculum development and teaching.
2. Build a robust Cybersecurity talent pipeline for India.
3. Offer high-quality, practice-oriented training programs aligned with global industry standards.
4. Enable universities to provide certified short-term Cybersecurity courses.
5. Give industry partners access to trained, job-ready talent.
6. Promote national cyber hygiene, security maturity, and awareness.
3. Proposed Framework of Collaboration
A. Role of Cyber Security Association of India (CSAI)
In association with Cyber Companies,
- Develop the course framework, curriculum standards, and learning outcomes.
- Ensure alignment with National Cyber policies, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure alignment with University Frameworks.
Provide certification in association with universities, under CSAI’s authority.
Facilitate onboarding of universities and academic partners.
Provide expert trainers, mentors, and cybersecurity practitioners in close cooperation with Cyber Companies.
B. Role of Cybersecurity Industry Partners
Co-create specialized modules based on real-world technologies and tools.
Provide hands-on labs, simulation environments, and product demos.
Offer guest lectures, workshops, mentorship, and internship opportunities.
Support certification examinations and assessments.
Potentially offer placement support for trained candidates.
C. Role of Universities/Academic Partners
Integrate the short-term Cybersecurity courses into their skilling/ Education system or add-on program portfolio.
Provide classroom infrastructure (physical or online).
Facilitate student enrolment and credits as per academic policies.
Support examination halls and evaluation coordination.

1. As s first step interest of Cyber companies to be conveyed to CSAI.
2. Thereafter, CSAI would be happy to have formal with the Cyber companies as a first step, based on discussions and broader agreement of terms and conditions including financial arrangements.
3. Joint development of curriculum and training roadmap.
4. Identification of Universities for pilot launch.
5. Scheduling of Course batches and trainer allocation.
6. Branding, outreach, and program launch.
8. BACKGROUND
CSAI is the only Indian association for Cyber security. CSAI promoters are TEMA www.tematelecom.in and CMAI www.cmai.asia
They have 48,500 members and 74 MOU partners globally and are connected to one lac educational Institute. TEMA/CMAI/CSAI are known as technological experts for Cyber security/Telecom and IT technologies etc.
